Ragged Mt. Winter Program
February 10, 2025
Dear Ragged Mt. program families,
Due to the nature of organizing lunches, buses, chaperones, and picking a day that will work with the Ragged staff in a very short period of time, we have been unable to find a make-up date for our final week of the program. Any time we can get four or five days in, we feel lucky, and we have been able to do that for the past couple of years. This winter was tricky with Mother Nature having us making lots of last-minute decisions and we’re glad we got four program days in.
We are working with Ragged Mt. on a plan that might allow students a chance to use their pass and rentals over vacation. As soon as we hear back, we will let you know.
Thank you all for another great season!
A little side-note…
This program would not be possible without the support of our amazing parent chaperones who volunteer their time at the mountain during these weeks. Every year, we lose our 5th-grade parents and depend on younger families to join us. We need volunteers in the lodge, on various levels of the mountain, and in the Magic Carpet area (no mountain experience needed).
If you have any interest in being a chaperone next winter, please reach out about the volunteer process.
Our first day at Ragged Mt. will be Thursday, January 9. This is also an Early Release Day.
The following 4 Thursdays (weather permitting) January 16, 23, 30 and February 6 are also program days.
Deadlines:
Friday, November 15th - ALL Registration paperwork must be completed and turned in
(see below for a copy of the registration packet that may be printed if you have misplaced yours.)
Tuesday, November 26th - PAYMENT DUE (checks should be made out to Bristol Elementary School)
No late payments can be accepted, as Ragged Mt. requires payment in full, prior to our start.
** No refunds will be given after the payment date **
It is very important that you pay attention to the due dates on the paperwork and make sure everything is completed correctly. We must have all forms and money to Ragged on their timeline in order to participate in the program.
If you are unable to get forms and payments in on time, students may not be able to participate.

If you are interested in chaperoning for the winter program, you will need to start the volunteer process at this time in order to have processing done in time for the start of the program.
Step 1: Indicate interest on the winter program form and return it to school.
Step 2: You will receive a packet of information that must be completed and returned to BES to be signed.
Step 3: BES will deliver your paperwork to the SAU to start the processing.
Step 4: Set-up a time for fingerprinting using the following link: https://services.dos.nh.gov/chri/cpo/
